Andrew G. Berger
Few Words From the Author/Publisher:
„The Superflare“ is my first novel. It is a science fiction story and thus belongs to a genre that has fascinated me for a long time. At the same time, it is an adventure story and explores how people might behave in extreme situations. This has also always interested me as a reader. It’s true that characters of all ages appear in „The Superflare“. Nevertheless, it is a novel for young people. Because two young people are at the center of the plot: Julia (17) and Winston (18), who also come from different „camps“. Fate brings them together in the turmoil of a post-apocalyptic world. Thus, they not only face the challenge of surviving in a world that has come apart at the seams. At the same time, they have to figure out who they are and who they want to be, which side they’re on – and who they have to fight. Identity, after all, is never finished. Identity development is a lifelong process. I’ve always been interested, even as a reader, in how people react to pressures and crises, how they change and shape themselves. It was exciting to watch the characters develop while I was writing – and I hope that the result will also be exciting to read.
