Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Comyn worked in the entertainment industry for 20 years before embarking on the adventure of teaching English abroad. Dean now lives in Germany with his wife and son. "Drowning" is the first book in the "Something in the Water" series, and Comyn's first novel.
